How To Banish Beer Stains and Smells on Carpets

Different beverages that end up on your carpet don’t have to worry you unnecessarily. Spilled beer, for instance, is not that hard to remove (just a waste of good beer). If you’re hesitant to do the cleaning yourself, you can hire professional carpet cleaners to do stain removal. There is, after all, a tendency that if not done correctly, your carpet will have a stain and strange odour. You will eventually need to hire professionals anyway to reverse the damage you’ve done.

How To Banish Beer Stains and Smells on Carpets

Once you’ve contacted a company for stain removal, you can do some things while waiting for them to arrive.

You will need paper towels, cold water, bleach-free detergent, white vinegar, warm water, and solvent for dry cleaning.

Use the cold water to rinse the beer-stained area then take a paper towel to blot it up. Keep on sponging the area until the beer is removed. Remember to allow the area to get completely dry after you are done moistening it. In case this is not effective, make a mixture of 1 cup water and ½ teaspoon bleach-free detergent and use this to blot. You can also try a mixture of 2/3 cup water and 1/3 cup white vinegar. After that, apply some of the dry cleaning solvent, making sure to follow the product’s directions for use.

Most people prefer hiring professionals to get rid of beer from their carpets. There are a lot of professional carpet cleaners out there, but how to choose the best one is what you need to know. Make sure that the company has well-trained technicians and that they are certified so you can get top quality results.
